Even as a child, Laz (full name: Lazaros Kapageoroglou) always wanted to cook, watching his mum and grandmother prepare heavenly Greek dishes. The vocation later became a profession and Laz became a chef and pâtisseur in his hometown of Thessaloniki in Greece.
After a culinary professional journey through star hotels on various Greek islands, Laz finally came to Zurich. There, inspired by the different cultures and the rich culinary offerings of the Limmat city, he founded Laz uns kochen – with the aim of bringing Mediterranean food culture closer to everyone through his recipes and cooking classes.
For Laz, food is more than just eating: It is an experience that brings people together and inspires them. And that’s exactly why we’re delighted that Laz will be preparing Mediterranean delicacies for you as our guest chef at BRIDGE from Thursday, 3 June. He created the tasty menu together with Bistro Chef Wolfi especially for BRIDGE.
